Perform activities in a safe manner
Work as a member of a cross-functional team to accomplish the overall shift plan
Follow lock-out procedures and use safety devices (stop emergency buttons and cables, guards etc.) in a proper manner
Follow company procedures regards forklift, crane, handling system operation
Do a proper checking at shift change and communicate with the previous/next shift on all outstanding issues
Make effective use of time and resources available to accomplish all assignments, avoiding waste
Do not mix the scrap material generated on your area (colors, types etc.)
Do on time all the PM tasks according with the schedule and do the preoperational checking on forklifts, manipulator, cranes-fill up the record forms
Maintain a clean and safe workplace area
Wear all the time (no failure) the Personal Protective Equipment specific to Extrusion line (earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, etc.)

Computer skills and knowledge on operating the slitter computer work station
Being assisted able to set up the knives and arms of the slitter
Able to change the male knives and do fine adjustments on slitter knives set up
Good knowledge and able to operate the slitter machine/handling system and Up ender
Monitor the quality of the rolls and inform the lead slitter operator about deficiencies
Good understanding of the Labeling System (rolls, skids, etc.)
Properly record and verify information to ensure inventory transacted is accurate
Assist with upset conditions on the extrusion lines such as web breaks and starting the line as directed by the shift supervisor
Comfortable to operate the crane, able to take out the master rolls from the winder and put a new empty core on the winder spindle
Able to cut/slit out of specs rolls/master rolls
Eligible to work in Canada
Able to work 12 hour rotating day and night continental schedule
Must have reliable attendance
Work overtime as required.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Fluent in English - speaking, writing, reading
Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.
