Role overview
Support the Cell and Gene Operations Team and help develop operational capability in Cell and Gene Therapy logistics.
The role reports to the Cell and Gene Operations Lead and focuses on customer service, quality, satisfaction, and commercial operational performance.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Support daily Cell and Gene operations and liaise with Control Tower Coordinators on shipments.
- Monitor, manage, and control shipments using technology and coordinate solutions with logistics providers, branches, and depots.
- Arrange controlled-temperature shippers, LN2 dry shippers, GPS tracking devices, temperature monitors, and trained operatives according to project specifications, COPs, or SOPs.
- Dispatch drivers for collections and deliveries and ensure client documentation meets GDP requirements.
- Support trade compliance for import and export shipments and book airline and integrator shipments using suitable routing.
- Ensure correct handling, storage, labeling, and export preparation of shipments, including meeting airline cut-off times.
- Maintain Maestro shipment data and confirm departure, arrival, customs clearance, and other key milestones.
- Send pre-alerts, perform pre- and post-flight checks, communicate delays or off-loads, and escalate issues to management.
