- POSITION TITLE: Operations Support Engineer 1 – Distilling Unit 1 Operations Support Engineer
LOCATION
- Deer Park, TX (Houston area)
WORK SCHEDULE
- 9/80 Flexible Working Schedule, Hybrid work schedule with a designated remote workday on Tuesday and scheduled working Friday; remote work is subject to business and operational needs
- Reports to (Job Title): Manager, Process Engineering
Description
The Process Engineer I provides technical support to the Distilling Unit 1 while developing broad refinery knowledge through cross-area coverage responsibilities. This role supports safe, reliable, environmentally compliant, and profitable operations by monitoring process performance, troubleshooting issues, identifying improvement opportunities, and partnering with Operations, Maintenance, Technical Services, and other engineering disciplines. In addition to supporting Distilling Unit 1, this position serves as a site-wide engineering resource, providing technical coverage and backfill support across multiple production areas as refinery priorities and business needs evolve.
