Role Overview
The Operations Supervisor leads yard, warehouse, production, and non-ferrous operations while prioritizing safety, customer needs, quality, and processing performance.
The role supervises employees, coordinates workflows and shipments, manages inventory and equipment, and drives operational improvement.
People and Production Leadership
- Supervise hourly employees and prepare teams to operate safely while meeting customer needs.
- Train, schedule, assign work to, coach, and manage employees across yard, warehouse, production, and non-ferrous functions.
- Set production targets and monitor processing goals, quality, efficiency, and performance metrics.
- Supervise equipment operators, maintenance personnel, torch cutters, scrap inspectors, warehouse personnel, and non-ferrous staff.
Operations and Quality
- Organize warehouse workflows, material storage, housekeeping, and inventory accuracy.
