Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day operations related to trailer spotting and shuttling between locations
- Manage schedules for trailer pickups, drop offs, and storage to optimize workflow
- Monitor condition and availability of trailers and equipment, schedule maintenance and repairs
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of drivers and operational staff
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies, conduct safety audits and training
- Coordinate logistics processes to ensure trailers are in the right place at the right time
- Manage relationships with clients and resolve issues or complaints
- Monitor operational costs including fuel, maintenance, and labor to stay within budget
- Maintain accurate records and logs of trailer movements, maintenance schedules, and operational data
- Prepare reports on performance metrics and operational challenges for senior management
- Respond to emergencies impacting logistics operations
- Maintain open communication with other departments
