Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Optical Dispensing, Optometry, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field
- Proven experience within optical operations, customer service, laboratory operations, or operational leadership environments
- Experience managing teams, coordinating workflows, and driving operational performance
- Strong understanding of optical fitting processes, lens types, and frame adjustments is advantageous
- Experience managing inventory, logistics, and service delivery activities
- Experience using reporting and analytical tools to support decision making and performance monitoring
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI

Role Overview
- As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the day to day operations of the Central Edging Facility (CEF), ensuring efficiency, quality, and service excellence across all operational activities.
- You will play a critical role in optimizing workflows, supervising and developing the CEF team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the timely processing and delivery of customer orders.
- Combining strong leadership with analytical capabilities, you will use operational data and insights to monitor performance, improve processes, and support the achievement of business objectives.
Operations Management
- You oversee the daily operations of the Central Edging Facility, ensuring smooth execution of all activities.
- You organize workflows and allocate resources effectively based on operational priorities and workload.
- You set team objectives and monitor performance in alignment with company goals.

- You oversee daily laboratory activities, ensuring accurate execution and maintenance of operational records.
- You manage administrative and technical issues impacting laboratory performance.
- You ensure the proper maintenance, calibration, and use of laboratory equipment and tools.
- You oversee the availability and timely replenishment of consumables, supplies, and operational resources.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- You optimize inventory levels through effective planning and monitoring of stock requirements.
- You analyse consumption trends and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent stock shortages.
- You monitor fast moving products and ensure appropriate inventory coverage.
- You oversee the processing and placement of incoming stock within agreed timelines.
- You lead inventory count activities and ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory records.
- You investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Logistics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- You coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- You monitor operational performance and prepare reports using Excel and Power BI.
- You ensure the timely and accurate submission of operational reports and data.
- You provide operational insights to support forecasting and planning activities.
- You contribute to operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Safety & Compliance
- You ensure all activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- You promote a culture of safety and maintain a clean, organised working environment.
- You identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- You support regular safety reviews and compliance activities to maintain a safe workplace.
Required Knowledge & Experience
