About the Role
Al Tariq is seeking an Operations Planning Manager to lead the Operations Planning function, develop integrated master schedules, and ensure alignment across procurement and production in a defense manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Operations Planning department, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Recruit, train, and oversee Master Schedulers, Material Planners, and Production Planners
- Develop, maintain, and ensure accuracy of Master Schedules across all client and internal programs
- Provide regular reporting on planning activities to Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality leadership
- Support and oversee SAP master data integrity (Material Masters, Routings) to enable effective MRP execution
- Execute and oversee master scheduling activities across all projects
- Lead project costing and budgeting processes, including Bill of Materials (BOM) development
- Ensure alignment between planning, procurement, and production to meet delivery timelines and cost objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Material and/or Production Planning within a defense or weapons environment
- At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Minimum 10 years of hands on SAP experience
- PMP certification and Power BI certification are advantageous

Role Purpose
- The Manager, Operations Planning is responsible for establishing and leading the Operations Planning function within Al Tariq.
- The role ensures delivery of robust planning services to Procurement and Production by developing and maintaining integrated master schedules aligned with program commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Operations Planning department, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Recruit, train, and oversee Master Schedulers, Material Planners, and Production Planners in collaboration with the HC function.
- Drive performance management, including goal setting, reviews, and development of planning team members.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of Master Schedules across all client and internal programs.
- Provide regular reporting on planning activities to Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality leadership.
- Support and oversee SAP master data integrity (Material Masters, Routings) to enable effective MRP execution.
- Execute and oversee master scheduling activities across all projects.
- Lead project costing and budgeting processes, including Bill of Materials (BOM) development.
- Ensure alignment between planning, procurement, and production to meet delivery timelines and cost objectives.
Requirements

- Certification in Production, Supply Chain, or Logistics is advantageous.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Material and/or Production Planning within a defense or weapons environment.
- At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Minimum 10 years of hands on SAP experience.
- PMP certification and Power BI certification are advantageous.
- Experience supporting or leading audits in a corporate environment.
