Role Description
The Operations Planning Manager leads planning activities that support efficient business operations, optimal resource utilisation, and consistent service delivery.
The role covers operational planning, resource coordination, performance monitoring, and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop short- and long-term operational plans using business requirements, demand forecasts, capacity, and available resources.
- Coordinate workforce, inventory, equipment, and operational schedules.
- Analyse operational data, demand trends, and performance indicators to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor planning accuracy, utilisation, productivity, service levels, and operational costs.
- Coordinate with operations, supply chain, procurement, sales, finance, and other teams to align plans and priorities.
- Identify capacity constraints, supply risks, and operational bottlenecks.
- Develop contingency plans and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare management reports, forecasts, dashboards, and planning analyses.
- Continuously improve planning processes, systems, and workflows.
- Establish planning standards, support data-driven decisions, and coordinate resources for changing business needs.
