Role Overview
Kwik Tan is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Operations Manager to lead its next phase of growth.
The role reports directly to the Kwik Tan Director and leads four Kwik Tan Co-Ordinators and two Support Co-Ordinators.
The position combines operational leadership, commercial performance, people development, and expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business plans into clear priorities, actions, and measurable outcomes across the salon estate.
- Own operational performance and KPIs and act on trends, opportunities, and underperformance.
- Lead and develop field leadership teams to improve salon performance.
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, spend per head, and profitability.
- Support new salon openings, relocations, refits, investment projects, and estate expansion.
- Lead continuous improvement and challenge existing ways of working.
- Champion customer experience standards across the salons.
- Coach teams across the nationwide estate and ensure strategy is delivered on the ground.
- Maintain compliance, responsible tanning, health and safety, and operational controls.
- Provide commercial intelligence and recommendations to the Kwik Tan Director.
What We Are Looking For
- A strong track record leading multi-site operations is required.
- Experience managing and developing field-based teams and leaders is required.
- Experience delivering commercial and operational KPIs is required.
- Experience using data and insight to improve performance is required.
- Experience driving change, continuous improvement, and operational standards is required.
- Experience managing budgets and understanding commercial business drivers is required.
- Experience supporting growth, expansion, or new site development is required.
- Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams is required.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, leisure, health and beauty, or another customer-facing multi-site environment is highly beneficial.
- Regular travel across the nationwide salon estate and overnight stays are required as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary is up to £65,000 per year with an attractive bonus scheme.
- The package includes a company car or car allowance.
- Benefits include private healthcare and three times salary life assurance.
- The role includes 33 days of annual leave, including the employee's birthday.
Workplace
- This is a nationwide field-based role across the Kwik Tan salon estate.
- Regular travel and overnight stays are required when necessary.
