Responsibilities
- Operate crane and container yard equipment including LIEBHERR and GOTTWALD mobile cranes, NOELL and TEREX straddle carriers
- Store empty containers received from road and sea in designated locations via YMS
- Move laden containers from plant warehouses to designated locations after customs inspection
- Load empty containers onto trailers as per administrator instructions
- Back load damaged laden containers to plant warehouses
- Plan diesel requirements and record consumption
- Handle QAFCO melamine containers exported through QAPCO jetty
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Risk Management, or closely related engineering field
- 10 to 15 years of direct managerial and operational experience in the petrochemical industry
- Experience with crane and container yard operations
- Knowledge of straddle carrier operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with Yard Management Systems (YMS)

Job Profile
- Operation of Crane & Container Yard: Presently QAPCO has equipment working 24/7 including LIEBHERR Mobile Crane, GOTTWALD Mobile Crane, NOELL and TEREX Straddle Carriers, diesel tank and dispensers.
- Provision of new Rolling Equipment by CONTRACTOR: Contractor shall guarantee equipment in healthy condition complying with QAPCO standards, covering full maintenance, certification, inspection, spare parts, consumables, except diesel.
Detailed Scope of Work
- Store empty containers received from road for LDPE1&2 and sea for all plants on designated location via YMS.
- Store laden containers from product warehouses to intermediate area for customs inspection.
- Move laden containers from plant warehouse after inspection to designated location via YMS.
- Take empty containers of LDPE1&2 from storage and load on trailer per administrator instruction.
- Back load damaged laden container to plant warehouse by trailers.
- Plan diesel requirement and recording of diesel.
- Handle QAFCO melamine containers exported through QAPCO jetty (approx. 250 containers/month, 20 ft, 20 tonnes each).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Risk Management, or closely related engineering field.
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of direct managerial and operational experience in the petrochemical industry.

- Quay 19 is designed for handling liquid and bulk cargoes: VCM, EDC, Caustic Soda Solution, Ethylene.
