The role
Operations Manager supporting LEC Robotics and the 48 Group across robotics, UK-China trade, events, and business growth.
The role coordinates sales, marketing, and finance while running headquarters operations and client and partner relationships.
The position reports to the COO and is based full time at the Fulham headquarters.
About the group
The group includes LEC Robotics, LEC Beverages, LEC AI, and the 48 Group.
LEC Robotics distributes and deploys commercial service robots in the UK.
The 48 Group is a UK-China trade organisation with government and business relationships in both countries.
LEC Robotics responsibilities
- Drive robot demonstration events and launches.
- Run the operational side of the Fulham headquarters and showroom.
- Support deployment scheduling, service response, and operational client relationships.
- Learn how the robots work, are configured, and succeed or fail in deployment.
48 Group responsibilities
- Set up and run trade events, delegations, dinners, and celebrations.
- Manage venues, suppliers, guest lists, protocol, and event-day delivery.
- Support relationships with technology and trade businesses in the UK and China.
- Liaise professionally in Mandarin and English.
Cross-business operations
- Coordinate daily priorities, weekly reviews, ownership, and blockers across sales, marketing, and finance.
- Communicate daily with Chinese partners, suppliers, and clients in Mandarin and with UK stakeholders in English.
- Build trackers, operating cadence, clear next actions, and a reliable single source of truth.
- Take on changing priorities and drive work through to completion.
Candidate profile
- Fluent spoken and written Mandarin and English are required.
- Experience in technology is required; robotics, hardware, or automation exposure is strongly preferred.
- Experience coordinating across sales, marketing, and finance is required.
- End-to-end event organisation experience is required.
- The candidate should be highly structured, organised, fast-moving, and comfortable taking early responsibility.
