Role Overview

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage inventory control and operational cost control within company requirements.
• Support facility improvements and maximize mix and blend opportunities through effective space allocation.
• Schedule and lead preventive maintenance for a safe and reliable facility.
• Lead staff development, production planning, training, and uninterrupted facility operations.
• Implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
• Secure facility assets against theft, damage, vandalism, and trespassing.
• Lead onsite workers, contractors, temporary workers, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, environmental, company, and operating permit requirements.
• Communicate facility and operational matters to regional leadership.
• Maintain regular attendance and timeliness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Three or more years of experience in a grain elevator or terminal in a leadership capacity.
• Experience leading an effective safety program.
• A bachelor's or technical degree in agriculture, business, engineering, or safety is preferred.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office skills, is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and maintenance aptitude with the ability to operate, service, and troubleshoot machinery.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• The ability to work and interact well with others is required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• The role includes heavy-duty, operational, mechanical, and technical hands-on responsibilities.
• Work frequently requires standing, walking, using hands, kneeling, and bending.
• The outdoor work environment includes heights and inclement weather approximately 80% of the time.
• The work environment is usually moderate to loud.
