Position Overview

Operations Manager responsible for overall management and performance of assigned hostel and co-living properties.

Drive operational excellence, service standards, cost control, team leadership, and exceptional resident experience.

The role covers multiple properties and requires coordination across operational units.

Overall Property Operations

  • Manage end-to-end operations across assigned properties.
  • Coordinate front office, housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance, and support teams.
  • Establish daily routines, monitor execution, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure smooth operation of all units.

Guest Experience

  • Drive exceptional guest and resident experiences.
  • Monitor feedback, complaints, surveys, and online reviews and handle escalations.
  • Implement corrective actions and systems to reduce recurring complaints and improve retention.

Team Management

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise property-level staff.
  • Set KPIs and performance expectations and monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline.
  • Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions and build an accountable work culture.

Quality and Service Standards

  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, food quality, and service delivery standards.
  • Conduct audits and surprise inspections, maintain SOPs, and drive continuous improvement.

Inventory and Cost Control

  • Oversee procurement, inventory, demand forecasting, wastage, and operational supplies.
  • Monitor food, manpower, utility, and other operating costs.
  • Prepare budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support profitability targets.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local laws, statutory regulations, company policies, fire safety, health, and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct safety audits and emergency drills and maintain compliance documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality, co-living, hostel operations, hotels, or property management.
  • Experience handling multiple properties and teams is required; hostel, co-living, or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, stakeholder management, budgeting, inventory, and KPI knowledge.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay is ₹70,000–₹120,000 per month.
  • Benefits include Provident Fund.
