SET/ Academic Internship Credit: Students wanting to receive Academic Internship credit for the position worked will need to fill out the paperwork with the Career and Professional Development Center.

It will then be sent to the Department Head for approval in your major.

Academic internships can be added to a student’s SET upon request after grades are posted (send an email to set@rmu.edu).

If a student attempts to submit an internship electronically, it will be declined.

If an internship is not listed on the student's SET by the end of the first month of the following academic term in which the internship was completed, please email set@rmu.edu.

Students who complete a non-academic internship will need to have their supervisor complete the Employer Verification Form and submit it to set@rmu.edu.

If approved, the experience will be added to their SET.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience operating ice resurfacing vehicles and related ice and facility maintenance equipment preferred.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, climb ladders or scaffold; remain standing and walking for long periods of time; ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds; and work on slippery/ice surfaces required.
• Ability to work in varying outdoor and indoor temperatures and outdoor weather conditions required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts (evenings, late hours, weekends) and holiday periods as needed.
• Ability to receive and carry out work orders verbally or in writing.
• Ability to work well independently and with co-workers.
• Ability to be able to deal in a courteous manner with the general public such as RMU ISC customers. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid PA driver's license required.
