Operational Controller

Coordinating Incident Response Teams (IRT) across the strategic highway network

Deploying crews to accidents, incidents and emergency situations

Managing defects reported by inspectors, the police and other stakeholders

Acting as a central point of communication between operational teams and stakeholders

Supporting daily operational handovers to ensure continuity of service

Managing resource deployment and operational responses

Coordinating rolling road blocks and access arrangements where required

Recording and communicating key operational information accurately

Supporting the delivery of a safe, responsive and customer-focused highways service

Experience within a fast-paced operational, highways, infrastructure or engineering environment

Strong leadership and team management capabilities

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

The ability to make decisions confidently under pressure

Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

Experience managing client relationships and delivering customer-focused outcomes
