Position Summary
PPG is seeking an Operational Administrator for its Birstall plant.
The role carries out administrative tasks within production departments to support efficient delivery of the production plan.
The position is full time and permanent.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Administer production activities through SAP and support correct material ordering.
- Liaise with planning, internal customers, and external suppliers to maintain material availability.
- Keep confirmation sheets, stock records, and files accurate and current.
- Monitor kanban systems and reorder points and order consumables through Epro.
- Create purchase orders in SAP for production-department requirements.
- Complete perpetual inventory counts and stock takes, including weekend stock balancing.
- Administer the check-weighing system for compliance with Weights and Measures legislation.
Key Skills
- Good literacy and numerical skills are required for administration activities.
- Good IT skills and the ability to quickly learn systems such as SAP and Datastor are required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Previous administration experience is advantageous.
