About the Role
The Operations Assistant supports maritime and shipping operations, including port agency activities, vessel ownership management, and vessel arrivals and departures.
The role requires coordination with port authorities, agents, service providers, shipmasters, and crews.
Port Agency and Vessel Operations
- Coordinate vessel arrivals and departures in alignment with port and terminal capacity.
- Liaise with port authorities and service providers to support safe and efficient vessel turnaround.
- Prepare, review, and submit vessel documentation and port formalities.
- Assist with vessel ownership activities, including vessel status, registrations, and compliance matters.
- Maintain accurate records of owned and managed vessels.
Communication and Compliance
- Act as a key contact between the company, shipmasters, crews, port authorities, agents, and service providers.
- Communicate operational updates clearly and promptly to stakeholders.
- Handle crew changes, visas, medicals, and immigration formalities.
- Ensure documentation complies with local regulations and international maritime conventions.
