Operating Theatre Assistant

The Theatre Assistant / Orderly will provide effective and efficient orderly support service to our client's based on a customer focus philosophy.

Assist with patient positioning, utilising a variety of positioning aids and specialised equipment

Remove soiled linen, rubbish, and sharps containers

Perform duties within the departmental scope of duties

Fulfill additional duties as requested and directed by clinical team

Promote a safe and harmonious workplace

Comply with Hospital and Departmental Policies & Procedures

Provide support services including patient transport, waste and linen management

Actively engage in self-development and performance management

The successful candidate will have a current Open Driver’s Licence (with no restrictions).

Experience as an Operating Theatre Assistant mandatory

Certificate III in Health Support Services, highly desirable

Experience in obstetric theatres, highly desirable

Knowledge of workplace health and safety and anti-discrimination practices

Strong customer service and communication skills
