Role Overview
DHL Global Forwarding, Freight is hiring an OFR Operations Specialist in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The role supports ocean-freight operations, customer service, gateway development, trade-lane consolidation, and freight-forwarding performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Build and develop trade-lane consolidations for South African export traffic.
- Engage with the global network to promote and develop the gateway for neighboring countries and local coastal branches.
- Coordinate day-to-day operations within the airfreight gateway and support rate and capacity procurement.
- Implement ocean-freight operations and customer-service plans and processes.
- Analyze requirements for the freight control center and provide operational information and instructions.
- Coordinate freight allocation and reservations on planned line haul.
- Develop and execute plans for ocean-freight products, including perishables, pharmaceuticals, and aviation.
- Expand business with new clients, improve customer service, and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Prepare monthly account-performance reports and respond to pricing enquiries.
- Deliver shipment documentation, support shipping tenders, and ensure timely document submission.
- Create and optimize transport orders and bookings and distribute required import and export documents.
- Update customs shipment information, monitor supplier performance, and resolve customer issues and incidents.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- More than six years of experience is required.
