Duties
- Lead and manage engineering and drafting efforts for offshore projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project requirements and develop innovative engineering solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in conceptual design, front-end engineering, and brownfield modifications for offshore facilities
- Coordinate and oversee multidisciplinary teams consisting of mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, instrumentation, pipeline, and process engineers.
- Conduct feasibility studies, FEED studies, and risk assessments to evaluate project viability and develop effective execution strategies
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and standards throughout all project phases, including SEMS documentation and API 14C audits.
- Manage project scope, budgets, and resources, while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues. Include project reviews in the plans as appropriate.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Oversee load out and tie-down analysis, transportation analysis, field planning, facility and platform modifications, and offshore commissioning and decommissioning programs.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in offshore engineering and project management.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore engineering and project management in the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Extensive experience with production facilities, platforms, pipelines, and subsea structures.
- Proven track record in successfully managing brownfield modifications and greenfield offshore projects.
- Familiarity with SEMS documentation, API 14C audits, and regulatory requirements for offshore operations.
