Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Urogynaecology) - Al Ain

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, recurrent urinary tract infections, and pelvic floor dysfunction.
• Perform urodynamic testing, cystoscopy, and pelvic floor evaluations.
• Provide conservative and surgical management of pelvic floor disorders.
• Perform prolapse repair, mid-urethral sling procedures, pelvic reconstructive surgery, and indicated hysterectomy procedures.
• Deliver outpatient and inpatient obstetric and general gynaecological care.
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
• Counsel patients on treatment options, surgical risks, recovery, and long-term management.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, urologists, colorectal surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists.
• Maintain clinical documentation.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement, teaching, and research.
• Maintain continuing professional development in urogynecology.

Qualifications

• Medical degree, such as MBBS or equivalent, from a recognized institution.
• Completion of specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
• Fellowship or formal subspecialty training in Urogynaecology or Pelvic Floor Reconstruction is mandatory.
• Western-trained education or clinical experience is mandatory.
• At least five years of post-specialization experience as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with significant urogynaecology experience.
• Eligibility for or possession of a valid DOH Consultant License.
• Expertise in advanced pelvic floor surgery and complex urogynecological disorders.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
