Job Summary

Join a healthcare facility in Al Ain as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with subspecialty training in Urogynaecology.

Provide care for pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence, complex urogynecological conditions, and general obstetrics and gynaecology.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams using a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, recurrent urinary tract infections, and pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Perform urodynamic testing, cystoscopy, pelvic floor evaluation, and other comprehensive urogynecological assessments.
  • Provide conservative and surgical management, including prolapse repair, mid-urethral sling procedures, and pelvic reconstructive surgery.
  • Deliver outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Counsel patients on treatment choices, surgical risks, recovery expectations, and long-term management.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists, urologists, colorectal surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement, audits, teaching, research, and professional development.

Qualifications

  • A medical degree such as an MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution is required.
  • Completion of specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is required.
  • Fellowship or formal subspecialty training in Urogynaecology or Pelvic Floor Reconstruction is mandatory.
  • Western-trained education or clinical experience is mandatory.
  • At least five years of post-specialization Consultant experience with significant urogynaecology experience is required.
  • Eligibility for or possession of a valid DOH Consultant license is required.
  • Expertise in advanced pelvic floor surgery and complex urogynecological disorders is required.
