Purpose of the job
The Engineering Tools Group has the responsibility to provide the global engineering departments with software solutions supporting engineering processes. To complete our team, we are looking for a motivated and committed NXOpen engineer for development of NX Tools applications.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Programs new and extends existing software in C#.net for generation of 3D models and 2D drawings on the NX Open Interface and follows an existing programming concept.
Analyses and debugs program errors up to final solution.
Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, code comments and clear code.
Updates job knowledge by studying NX related 3D development tools and programming techniques.
Maintains software by studying user needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
Development follows the software development lifecycle.
Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed
Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a flair for software development
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering
3 years of experience in developing NXOpen applications using C#
Experience in software design, programming, debugging, documentation and testing
Exposure to Agile software development methodology and Azure DevOps is beneficial.
Experience with 3D and 2D parametric CAD and expression handling
Minimum 2 years of experience in surface modelling.
Information analysis, structured problem solving, efficient communication and teamwork.
Good English skills (written and verbal) required.
Experience in Turbo Machinery Engineering or willingness to develop in this domain
