Under general supervision, performs professional work at the full-performance level by promoting and presenting public health nutrition programs, evaluates and certifies the eligibility of applicants for participation in the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program. Performs related work as required. Public contact and travel are required. May be required to supervise.

Review anthropometric and hematological data.
Assess diet histories, identify nutritional risks, and determine participant eligibility.
Document all assessments and certifications accurately and in accordance with WIC policies.
Provide individualized and group nutrition counseling.
Deliver education based on participant needs and WIC guidelines.

Support special projects and evolving program needs as the WIC program develops.
