Your Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services Central Corridor is currently hiring Nurse Practitioner's to manage the medical needs of patients within the Intensive Care Unit at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. This role will be part of a multi-disciplinary team caring for patients. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) role is to promote excellence in clinical practice, utilizing a comprehensive knowledge base and an excellent ability to apply it to the clinical setting.

Description:

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
