Overview
- Phoenix Hospital UAE is seeking a trained Midwife to join our facility located in Abu Dhabi UAE.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring women’s health during their pregnancies.
- Teaching patients with pain management techniques to prepare them for labor.
- Preparing women for labor and delivery and assisting with the birthing process.
- Helping to develop and support a woman’s birth plan.
- Undertaking clinical examinations and screenings as part of antenatal care.
- Identifying high risk pregnancies.
- Running parenting classes as part of antenatal care.
- Assisting with care and monitoring during labor and birth.
- Providing advice and support to parents of newborns, for example, teaching new and expectant mothers how to feed their babies.
- Performing emergency procedures and referring women to other medical staff where necessary.
- Knowledge about the layout of the unit, number of patients, types of patients, and their requirements.
- Carries out and supervises assessments of new admissions & performs assigned duties as per the department's protocol.
