Role Overview
Genea is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Canberra clinic.
The position is full time on a 12-month parental leave contract, with the possibility of extension.
The role is office based and involves patient interaction by telephone and face to face.
Daily Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face patient interviews and telephone consultations.
- Coordinate care with doctors and scientists and help tailor treatment plans.
- Provide instructions for self-administration of IVF medications.
- Provide patient results by telephone and support patients when required.
- Provide patient care, support, and education throughout fertility treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records, complete clinical data entry, and perform associated administration.
Candidate Requirements
- Be an experienced Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Have strong clinical skills and strong people skills for patient support and counselling.
- Be empathetic, build rapport, and provide genuine patient care.
- Have strong administration skills and technical competence with multiple IT systems.
- Previous fertility nursing experience is desirable.
