Nurse (casual) - Vancouver
Vancouver, BC, CA, V6Z 2H2
Location: Vancouver
- Employment status: Casual, Part-time (work hours may vary upon needs, must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. No evening or weekend shifts.)
Schedule
- Daytime shifts only, Monday to Friday. Shifts may vary based on operational needs and will consist of either:
- Half-day shifts: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Full-day shifts: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer service-minded Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Onsite services team who wants to work in a friendly, collaborative and supportive environment. Join our team in shaping the future of the Canadian healthcare ecosystem.

- The nurse will be responsible for providing vaccination during the annual flu campaign from October through December. Working with a customer service oriented team, you will provide a rewarding patient experience with empathy, discretion and professionalism.

- Responsibilities include:
- Administer influenza vaccines to patients
- Informing patients of the side effects of vaccination
- Implementing emergency measures, as required
- Compile and inventory vaccines administered
- In depth knowledge of current guidelines, practice standards and medical directives
- Provide quality, safe, compassionate care to all clients
- Communicate and work effectively with all other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
- Positive and results focused attitude
- Ability to take initiative and demonstrate proactive/preventative approaches to care
You have
Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Current registration and license in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
CPR certification up to date
Minimum of 3 years nursing experience (private or public sector)
Ready to travel to the client site
Valid driver’s license and have access to a car
Interest in customer service and a corporate work environment
Professionalism and strong judgment
Assiduity, autonomy, punctuality, discretion, interpersonal skills
Ability to make decisions
Great-to-haves
ACLS certification
Previous experience in primary care or acute care is an asset
Computer skills are an asset (EMR, Power Point, Excel, Word)
