New Product Development Engineering Supervisor

The key skills and qualities of a New Product Development Engineering Supervisor at Amphenol Commercial Air:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience), with 3+ years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated hands-on experience in product development and prototyping, with the ability to knowledgeably support and step in on hands-on work as needed is required.

Experience with electrical connectors or related aerospace products is preferred; experience with flexible busbars, high power, or high voltage products is a plus.

Practical experience with 3D printing/additive manufacturing, molding, laser cutting, diffusion welding, and/or basic machining is preferred.

Experience with CAD (Creo or equivalent) and PDM systems (Windchill or equivalent) preferred.

Familiarity with industry test standards such as DO-160, EIA-364, EN2591, or similar is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to lead and motivate teams with diverse technical backgrounds.

Excellent communication skills with experience mentoring engineers and developing technical documentation

Ability to travel < 10% of the time.

Must be able to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.

Use of a computer from 1 to 8 hours a day.

Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

Possible travel domestic or overseas.
