High School diploma or equivalent and experience working with children, teens or/adults who have developmental challenges in a teaching or care setting or;
BS/BA in education, healthcare, psychology or other service-related focus preferred with or up to a year experience working with clients who have developmental challenges.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust communication style based upon the situation and audience.
Ability to develop sound, trusting relationships.
Demonstrate an understanding, respectful and receptive attitude toward the needs of students, caregivers and team members.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to be creative and engaging with clients and client caregivers.
Fast, willing, learner who can be present in various settings regardless of distractions.
Ability to remain calm and resilient in times of crisis.
Organized with an attention to detail.

Able to run, walk, stand, bend, kneel or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift 50lbs and push up to 200lbs using a wheelchair or other medical equipment.
