Job Summary
- The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is seeking a Neuro Ophthalmology position involving patient care, teaching, and research.
- Clinical activities at local UW Health clinic locations.
- Teaching activities involve medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Research may include clinical trials and/or translational research.
Key Job Responsibilities
- At least a 40% FTE neuro ophthalmology practice within the UW Department of Ophthalmology.
- If not full time in neuro ophthalmology, an additional 40% FTE in another ophthalmology practice or neurology practice.
- 20% FTE for administration, teaching, etc.
- Participate in administrative and committee work.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible for Wisconsin Medical License by start of position.
- Completion of a U.S. Neuro Ophthalmology accredited residency and fellowship by start date.
- Relevant experience in clinical practice.
- Interest in medical student and resident education.
Preferred Qualifications
- For appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department.
Education
- MD or DO, or equivalent required.
