Networking Security Engineer II
CACI seeks a senior Networking Security Engineer II to provide engineering expertise in analyzing complex systems, architecture, network design, and hardware issues.
The role involves procuring and performing acceptance testing on equipment, providing hardware maintenance support, and preparing site installation and testing reports.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 years of experience as a Network Security Engineer are required, along with DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification for IAT Level II and at least two vendor certifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering expertise to analyze complex systems, architecture, network design, and other technical hardware issues.
- Procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment.
- Provide hardware maintenance support.
- Prepare site installation and testing reports.
- Ensure that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user’s requirements.
- Prepare reports and recommendations concerning existing and emerging hardware technology.
- Conduct site surveys; assess and document current site network configuration and site-unique requirements.
- Organize and direct hardware installations across multiple sites.
- Analyze and recommend hardware specifications for project-unique or modified commercial hardware.
- Assist with building simulations of proposed systems and provide hardware throughput analyses to system engineers.
- Design and verify test harnesses/simulated interfaces for all test and integration phases.
- Prepare Mean-Time-Between-Failure and Mean-Time-To-Repair analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 10 years experience as a Network Security Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions.
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification for IAT Level II.
- At least two of the following vendor certifications: Palo Alto Network Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA), Sonicwall Network Security Administrator (SNSA), Sonicwall Network Security Professional (SNSP), Symantec ProxySG 6.7 Technical Specialist, or Cisco CCNA.
