Role Overview
Enable and fine-tune firewall and intrusion prevention systems within the network infrastructure.
Configure, optimize, and maintain FW/IPS functionality to ensure robust threat mitigation and network security.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in firewall architecture and configuration.
- Extensive knowledge of intrusion prevention system technologies and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience configuring and tuning IPS threat prevention modules.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
Required Certifications
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification is preferred.
- Certified Information System Security Professional (CCISP) certification is preferred.
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification.
- Relevant industry certifications in network security or intrusion prevention systems.
