Network Operation Engineer

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience in telecommunications working with network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers and data services. - 2 years of experience in IP networking, and key networking protocols like TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, ISIS, SDN etc. - Experience in network operations, systematic troubleshooting in IP and optical environment. - Ability to work non-standard hours, including working nights, weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required. Preferred qualifications: - Certifications in Network (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/CCDE/JNCIE/JNCIP) or equivalent practice experience. - Experience in a network operations center or technical assistance center environment managing IP and optical networks. - Understanding of generic protocols and their applications, device repair, network topologies and global internet technologies. - Ability to use, understand and navigate Element Management System (EMS) and Network Management System (NMS) systems to manage optical networks. - Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Ability to work non-standard hours, including working nights, weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required in a network operations center environment.
