Role Overview
The Branch System Engineer designs, builds, and maintains internal platforms and infrastructure for Branch and Edge IT, primarily networks with related compute and storage.
The role provides stable, secure, and scalable platforms supporting software development, deployment, engineering, and operations.
The core focus is automation and observability platforms that support Site Reliability Engineering practices.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain network systems for employee use, including network virtualization, SD-WAN, LANs, WANs, intranets, and extranets.
- Design, configure, implement, and support network infrastructure while staying current with network technologies and best practices.
- Maintain and optimize network infrastructure for high availability and performance.
- Design, implement, and manage automation workflows for device onboarding, configuration compliance, and automated remediation.
- Develop, maintain, and integrate monitoring systems to detect anomalies, enforce compliance, and trigger automated responses.
- Ensure network devices meet security and configuration standards through automated checks and remediation.
- Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for automation and reliability improvements.
