Job Summary

  • The L3 Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure, including advanced routing, switching, wireless, and load balancing technologies.
  • This role handles complex (Tier 3) escalations, ensures high availability of network services, and leads major network transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Core Networking: Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network architectures (LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD WAN).
  • Configure and manage routers and switches from Cisco, Aruba, and Juniper.
  • Handle advanced troubleshooting and L3 escalations to ensure timely service restoration.
  • Manage routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and advanced routing policies.
  • Wireless Networking: Design and optimize WLAN coverage, performance, and security.
  • Manage wireless controllers (WLC) and access points.
  • Load Balancing: Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise load balancers (L4/L7).
  • Manage Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) such as F5 BIG IP, A10 Thunder ADC, Citrix NetScaler.
  • Implement traffic distribution policies, SSL offloading, health checks, persistence, and high availability.
  • Troubleshoot application delivery issues and optimize performance.
  • Integrate load balancers with web servers, application servers, and cloud services.
  • Monitoring & Operations: Monitor network health using SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, and Wireshark.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Required Professional Certifications: Cisco CCNP Enterprise, Aruba ACMP or ACSP, Juniper JNCIS or JNCIP, ITIL Foundation v4.
  • Load Balancer Certifications (Highly Preferred): F5 Certified BIG IP Administrator, F5 Certified Technical Specialist, A10 Certified Professional, Citrix NetScaler (CCA N / CCP N).
  • Additional Preferred Certifications: Cisco CCIE (Lab), SD WAN Certifications, Wireless: CWNA, CWSP, Cloud Networking: Azure AZ 700, Security: Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE4.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in enterprise routing, switching, and load balancing.
  • Deep understanding of L4/L7 traffic flows and application delivery.
  • Advanced packet analysis using Wireshark.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage complex technical challenges.
