Role Overview
The Network Engineer L2 designs, implements, manages, and troubleshoots enterprise network infrastructure across traditional, public cloud, and private cloud environments.
The role manages cloud networking components, monitors performance, resolves complex issues, and supports highly available, scalable, secure infrastructure.
Location and Employment
- The position is based at a client site in CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai.
- The employment type is full-time and permanent.
- Working days follow business and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network architecture across public and private cloud infrastructures.
- Ensure network scalability, security, availability, and optimal performance.
- Assess requirements with cross-functional teams and architect solutions.
- Integrate cloud networking components according to best practices and compliance standards.
- Configure virtual networks, subnets, routing, security groups, and network security controls.
- Work with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud networking technologies.
- Manage VMware and OpenStack private cloud networking environments.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain network configurations, diagrams, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, security, vendor, and technology partner teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of network architecture and operational standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 4 years of total professional experience and 3 years of relevant cloud or traditional networking experience.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and managing network infrastructure in public and private cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, routing and switching, subnetting, VLANs, network security, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud networking components including virtual networks, subnets, routing, and security groups.
- Experience with one or more of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with private cloud networking environments such as VMware and/or OpenStack.
- Strong monitoring, troubleshooting, performance analysis, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A graduate qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- CCNA or higher-level Cisco certification.
- VMware certification in networking or related technologies.
- Enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud, data center, or BFSI experience is advantageous.
