Role overview
Network Engineer III role focused on requirements analysis, development, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise network and transport solutions.
The work covers local- and wide-area network hardware and services, telecommunications applications, network architecture, performance, reliability, and security compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform research, requirements analysis, network design, installation, documentation, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
- Develop system specifications, architecture designs, integration and test plans, risk strategies, and supporting documentation.
- Engineer and implement project solutions based on customer requests for change.
- Serve as the technical representative for assigned projects and coordinate issues with responsible organizations.
- Elicit, decompose, document, model, analyze, verify, and trace functional requirements.
- Support traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization for network performance and availability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend network changes or upgrades.
- Follow customer network security processes and government policies and maintain architecture diagrams.
Required qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph.
