Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Implement and support corporate network infrastructure and help design scalable, highly available global network architectures.
• Design, configure, and maintain complex L2/L3 switches, network documentation, and topology diagrams.
• Support datacenter Cisco Nexus LAN, firewalls, UCS fabric, wireless controllers, Aruba devices, and other network appliances.
• Perform Cisco IOS research, evaluation, maintenance, and code upgrades.
• Analyze network traffic and performance with monitoring tools and support capacity planning.
• Work with vendors on support, enhancements, and network design strategy.
• Own SD-WAN networks, WAN routers, configurations, QoS policies, and network stability.
• Maintain ISP connectivity, network monitoring, alerting, configuration compliance, and IP address management.
• Support global Cisco wireless infrastructure and wireless LAN controllers.
• Provide rotating after-hours coverage and attend requested IT meetings and teleconferences.

Technical Requirements

• Have 3 to 5 or more years of related work experience.
• Have experience with Cisco Nexus L2/L3 switching technology.
• Understand protocols including EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, IPsec, VPN, NAT, 802.1Q, 802.11, LACP, spanning tree, UDLD, BPDU, HTTP, HTTPS, DHCP, and DNS.
• Have experience with Cisco 4500, 3850, ASR/ISR routers, and Nexus 7K/9K platforms.
• Understand network infrastructure and security topology.
• Have knowledge or experience with Cisco ASA, VPN, IPS/IDS, Palo Alto, Cisco wireless, LAN controllers, SolarWinds, Site24x7, SNMP, and Wireshark.
• Zscaler, F5 load balancers, web URL filtering, IP telephony, and Cisco security platforms are advantageous or additional areas of experience.

Qualifications

• Have strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Be able to research network issues and explain technical ideas in user-friendly language.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, attention to detail, analytical problem solving, prioritization, and customer service orientation.
• Work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Have a bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• Cisco routing, switching, or wireless certifications are an added advantage.

Work Environment

• This is a full-time position based five days a week from the Mumbai office.
• The role requires rotational schedules and support for 24x7 operations.
