Network Engineer

This job requires 3 days in-office per week at our Washington, PA headquarters.

Responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the global enterprise network.

Designs, implements, and maintains LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routing, switching, wireless, and firewall platforms.

Monitors network health, analyzes performance metrics, and proactively tunes the environment to maintain optimal throughput and reliability.

Troubleshoots complex network issues, escalates when appropriate, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to support business operations.

Contributes to network architecture planning, capacity forecasting, and lifecycle management.

The Network Engineer will also participate and often lead infrastructure projects, troubleshooting, technology upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Partner with IT leadership and business units to understand upcoming initiatives and translate them into network capacity, design, and security requirements.
• Develop and maintain standardized methods, tools, and documentation for testing, validating, and deploying new LAN/WAN hardware and configurations.
• Help with network infrastructure projects that enhance performance, resiliency, or functionality across the enterprise.
• Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and related network tools.
• Diagnose and resolve network performance issues, including latency, congestion, routing anomalies, and hardware failures.
• Provide operational support for the daily function of the IT environment, including incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to maintain and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Recommend, schedule, and implement firmware updates, patches, hardware refreshes, and configuration improvements.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for network‑related issues and provide guidance to IT staff and end users.
