Network Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot firewalls, including policies, IPsec and SSL VPNs, and SD-WAN.
• Set up and maintain Cisco, Aruba, or HPE switches and routers, including VLANs, trunking, STP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Administer servers and storage systems, including Windows Server, HPE or Dell hardware, and VMware or Hyper-V virtualization.
• Design and manage Veeam, Acronis, or similar backup solutions, including job design, backup chains, and disaster recovery planning.
• Provide L2 and L3 support for network incidents and escalations.
• Prepare network diagrams, statements of work, handover documents, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and clients on project delivery.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least three years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, switches, and routers from a major vendor such as Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba, SonicWall, or Check Point.
• Working knowledge of servers, storage, and virtualization, including Windows Server and VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience with Veeam or similar backup solutions.
• CCNA, NSE, or an equivalent certification is preferred.
• Good communication skills for client interaction and technical documentation.

• The role is based out of the company’s Dubai office.
