Role Description
The Network Engineer designs, implements, maintains and troubleshoots network infrastructure.
The role ensures secure, reliable and efficient connectivity across business systems and users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure and maintain network infrastructure.
- Manage routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems and network devices.
- Monitor network performance, availability and security.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, performance and configuration issues.
- Manage VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching and network services.
- Implement network security and access controls.
- Resolve incidents and support network upgrades, testing and maintenance.
- Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, service providers and users.
- Maintain network documentation and support cloud, hybrid and disaster recovery connectivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking or a related field.
- Relevant network engineering or IT infrastructure experience.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing and switching.
- Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba or similar technologies.
- Cloud networking experience and CCNA, CCNP or equivalent certification are advantageous.
- Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
