Key skills for this role
CrowdStrike's Cloud and Network Infrastructure Engineering organization is seeking a Network Development Engineer to help build and operate the infrastructure foundation on which our global security platform runs. This role sits at the intersection of cloud networking, infrastructure automation, and engineering execution — contributing to the patterns, standards, and delivery pipelines that keep our environment scalable, secure, and operationally sound. You will work closely with senior architects, security engineers, and platform teams to implement and improve our cloud networking infrastructure across a high-growth, mission-critical environment.
This is a remote position open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.
What You'll Do
Participate in architecture and design reviews across infrastructure, platform engineering, and integration initiatives — contributing technical analysis, identifying risks, and supporting implementation of approved patterns
Develop, maintain, and improve infrastructure-as-code modules and templates (Terraform, networking standards, multi-account structures) in alignment with established blueprints, reducing pattern sprawl and improving engineering consistency
Implement and operate on-prem and multi-region cloud networking architectures including Transit Gateway, centralized inspection VPC models, multi-account VPC patterns, and hybrid connectivity
Support cloud migration and data center exit programs — contributing to cutover planning, owning discrete infrastructure delivery workstreams, and coordinating across engineering and compliance stakeholders
Contribute to enablement resources and documentation that help engineering teams adopt cloud-native and infrastructure-as-code-driven operating models (Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, SDLC best practices)
Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to engineering peers and team leads, and escalate effectively when issues require broader architectural input
What You'll Need:
Experience leveraging AI technologies to improve workflows, accelerate troubleshooting, and drive operational efficiency
5+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or network engineering, with demonstrated growth in scope and technical depth
Hands-on experience with AWS (Transit Gateway, VPCs, multi-account patterns, IAM, Network Firewall), Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI/CD
Familiarity with architecture review or governance processes, and comfort working within established infrastructure standards and contributing improvements to them
