Role Overview
Cloudflare is expanding its global network and is hiring a Network Deployment Engineer for Singapore or Sydney.
The role works with network infrastructure planning, network engineering, automation, SRE, project managers, vendors, logistics partners, data center providers, and ISPs.
The position requires deep understanding of data center infrastructure, physical and logical network configuration, system administration, server provisioning, troubleshooting, data analysis, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision, monitor, and maintain hardware, software, and network infrastructure in new Cloudflare data centers.
- Administer servers remotely with IPMI/BMC tools, including provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and firmware updates.
- Configure network devices for greenfield deployments and brownfield migrations.
- Manage remote contractors carrying out data center installations and rack-and-stack upgrades.
- Build Python automation and agentic AI tools to reduce repetitive administrative work.
- Plan network and server installations involving power, cooling, security, rack layout, and cable management.
- Provide technical guidance to contractors and junior team members during deployments.
- Maintain documentation, plans, SOPs, MOPs, and runbooks.
