About the Role
Cyber Core for Information Technology is seeking a Network and Security Engineer in Abu Dhabi to design, implement, and maintain secure network systems. The role involves configuring routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and troubleshooting network security issues.

Responsibilities
- Configure, support, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and related network security infrastructure
- Work with Layer 2 and Layer 3 network technologies, including VLANs, trunking, routing, NAT, ACLs, and network segmentation
- Support site to site VPNs, remote access VPNs, IPsec configurations, and secure connectivity solutions
- Troubleshoot network, firewall, routing, switching, and VPN related issues in customer environments
- Assist in deployment and support of secure communication, encryption, PKI, and authentication related solutions
- Participate in client site installations, testing, commissioning, and support activities
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including implementation notes, network diagrams, configurations, and support reports
- Escalate complex issues when required while maintaining proper follow up and ownership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or related field
- 3 to 6 years of hands on experience in network engineering, network security, or infrastructure support
- CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or equivalent experience mandatory
- Strong understanding of routing and switching fundamentals
- Practical experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, ACLs, DHCP, DNS, routing, and firewall policies
- Understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
- Experience with IPsec VPNs, site to site VPNs, and remote access VPNs
- Deep understanding of encryption, PKI, certificates, authentication, and secure communication
- Ability to analyze logs, understand packet flow, and troubleshoot technical issues logically
- Excellent communication skills

- Basic cybersecurity or information security certifications.
Work Environment and Availability
- Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- On site availability with occasional remote work flexibility, as required.
- On call rotation for critical incidents and emergencies.
