Role overview
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced NEC Supervisor to support large-scale construction and manufacturing programmes in Derby.
The role delivers NEC Supervisor services and reports to Project Leads for the relevant programme elements.
Responsibilities
- Undertake NEC Supervisor services under the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract.
- Report to the appropriate Project Lead.
- Maintain a regular site presence and independently scrutinise works.
- Ensure materials are correct and meet required standards.
- Identify potential issues and help prevent them from occurring.
- Manage defects, witness testing and attend progress meetings.
- Issue contract communications and maintain contemporaneous observation records.
- Work with the Project Manager to communicate observed issues.
Qualifications and experience
- NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager accreditation.
- Relevant construction degree or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant construction experience and good understanding of construction methods.
- Commitment to service excellence and agreed quality standards.
- Ability to collaborate with technical advisers and construction managers.
