Role Overview
Support the physical integration of naval weapon systems onto maritime platforms.
Work with MoD, UK industry, export customers, dockyards, and trial facilities.
Working Pattern
- The role requires dynamic working and travel away from home, typically for one week at a time.
- Extended travel abroad lasting three to four weeks may be required.
What We’re Looking For
- HNC level or higher in an engineering or science discipline.
- Ability to move around ships and shipyards across complex terrain, steep ladders, and scaffold.
- Naval platform installation and complex weapon system alignment experience is advantageous, but training is provided.
- A good systems-thinking or engineering approach.
- Willingness to learn new methods and ways of thinking.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and work autonomously for periods.
- Successful candidates must complete HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks after offer.
The Opportunity
- Support maritime installation and interface with construction, electrical, and project teams in shipyards.
- Assist with installation completion, weapon system alignment, and installation inspection activities.
