Role Overview
At bp, Natural Gas Schedulers are essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of energy across our network. This role is in the Gas and Power Operations Team within Supply Trading & Shipping (GPTA )

Key Responsibilities
Make required natural gas nominations to various Canadian region pipelines, using the appropriate pipeline/storage EBB systems
Assure flow of equity and third-party production
Supervise and track imbalances on pipelines/LDC’s
Communicate market intelligence to trading teams
Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across scheduling teams
Identify, analyze, and resolve operational or scheduling issues in a timely manner.
Maintain and update supply and nomination data in gas management systems, ETRM ( Endur )
Build and maintain strong working relationships with pipelines, LDCs, customers, and internal interested parties to support effective issue resolution and customer service.
Identify operational risks, analyze issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability, efficiency, and customer experience.
Partner with Settlements, Accounting, and Commercial teams to reconcile invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and support accurate month-end settlements.
Participate in rotational weekend and holiday coverage to support continuous gas operations activities.
Understand pipeline/customer behavior and extract key insights that impact nomination and transactional decisions
Act as a strategic partner to enabling teams, prioritize opportunities and provide practical recommendations
Essential Education, requirements and experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred)
Quick learner with strong attention to detail and commercial focus
Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams
Desired experience
Familiarity with EBBs and ETRM systems (Endur experience a plus)
Knowledge of natural gas scheduling or similar commodity operations; junior or higher experience in natural gas scheduling
TC Energy mainline scheduling experience a plus
Strong proficiency in spreadsheet programming, data modeling or advanced
