- Greet clients as they arrive and make them feel welcome in the salon
- Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries about services, availability, and general salon information
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring proper booking and special instructions
- Maintain the appointment calendar and assist with managing client flow to minimize wait times
- Process client check ins and check outs, handle payments, and issue receipts
- Handle client complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when needed
- Assist Nail Technicians and other staff with organizing schedules and client needs
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of front desk area, waiting area, and common spaces
- Monitor inventory of salon products and supplies, and reorder as necessary
- Provide clients with information on nail care services, products, and promotions
- Promote salon services and retail products to clients
- Assist with managing social media and salon website inquiries when needed
Requirements
- Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk staff, or customer service role preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and helpful under pressure
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends if needed
- English speaking is required

Job Overview
- We are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer focused Receptionist to join our team at Nails the Modern Manicure Studio.
- The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for clients, helping them feel welcome and comfortable, and providing essential support to ensure smooth day to day operations of the salon.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients as they arrive and make them feel welcome in the salon.
- Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries about services, availability, and general salon information.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring that clients are properly booked and aware of any special instructions.
- Maintain the appointment calendar and assist with managing the flow of clients to minimize wait times.
- Process client check ins and check outs, handle payments (cash, credit card, gift certificates), and issue receipts.
- Handle client complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues to the Operations Manager when needed.
- Assist Nail Technicians and other staff with organizing schedules and client needs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the front desk area, waiting area, and other common spaces.
- Monitor inventory of salon products and supplies, and reorder as necessary.
- Provide clients with information on nail care services, products, and any ongoing promotions.
- Promote the salon’s services and retail products to clients as they check out or inquire.
- Assist with managing social media and salon website inquiries when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk staff, or customer service role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm and helpful under pressure, especially during busy times.
- Basic computer skills (knowledge of salon booking is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the beauty or spa industry.
- Knowledge of the salon’s services and products to better assist clients.
