Role Overview

Safety and Operations

• Enforce USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH, and security standards during explosives and non-explosives operations.
• Escalate issues affecting munitions operations to Munitions Control and the Superintendent.
• Take control and ensure timely response actions during emergencies.
• Monitor multiple operations and ensure work follows priorities, goals, and schedules.
• Perform supervisor duties in the absence of Munitions Supervisors.

Munitions and Warehouse Work

• Conduct munitions work according to established quality processes, identify potential problems, and recommend solutions.
• Recondition, repair, and replace defective or missing munitions and container parts.
• Perform munitions storage and maintenance actions according to stringent explosives standards.
• Conduct warehouse inventories and correct discrepancies.
• Work with operations personnel to resolve serviceability and accountability issues.
• Prepare and configure munitions shipments for air, sea, and surface transportation.
• Load and unload trucks carrying incoming and outgoing munitions shipments.
• Assist with munitions inspections according to 11A-1-10 and applicable technical orders.

Required Standards and Systems

• Ability to operate Theater Integrated Combat Munitions Systems (TICMS) and MC2.
• Compliance with USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH, and security standards.
• Ability to perform work according to the Performance Work Statement and ISO 9001 quality processes.
• Ability to supervise assigned Munitions Technicians and perform supervisor duties when required.
